T: repeat the sound [k]
The vowel i and o have the long vowel sound when followed by two or more consonants usually has a long vowel sound. E.g. child, old, kind.

T: divide into 2 teams. Remember the words and read them to another team. The task for another team is to clap when you will hear the vowel.

T: now divide into pairs and make up a short dialogue using the words with the long vowels. Name all the vowels and try to explain the rule.
